Velimir Zernovski: “Confutatis – what are heroes made of?”

Friday, 26/4/2024 20.00 h.

Presentation of the project “Confutatis – what are heroes made of?” by the fine artist – Velimir Zernovski, realized as the final event within the European Nomadic Biennale – Manifesta 14 (28.10.2022)

Within the framework of the one-night event, a printed publication will be promoted with an introductory text “On Working and Mourning with Velimir Zernovski”, conceived by the art theorist – Dr. Catherine Nichols, curator of Manifesta 14 and Hamburger Bahnhof – National Gallery of Contemporary Art, Berlin. Nichols has also mounted numerous monographic and thematic art exhibitions including Beuys: We are the RevolutionThe End of the 20th Century: The Best Is Yet to Come and Capital: Debt – Territory – Utopia, Everyone is an Artist: Cosmopolitical Exercises with Joseph Beuys and many others.

The publication contains a theoretical counterpoint to the art project: “Confutatis – what are heroes made of?”, conceived by Dr. Natali Rajchinovska-Pavleska, curator of the project, critic and art theorist.

Due to the specifics and uniqueness of the performance, the project will be presented through documentary video material from the performance of the one-night performance.
