Situated on the top of the hill in the Skopje central area and nearby the medieval fortress the Museum of Contemporary Art is surrounded by the panoramic view of the city and its larger area. The Museum building, constructed in 1970, is an excellent example of the architecture of the late modernism and symbol of the renewal of Skopje after the 1963 earthquake.

I liked the small tour size (5 people)! This was one of the main reasons I chose to visit the Museum of Contemporary Art.

I don’t have a habbit of regularly going to exhibitions or museums, but this was a different experience for me: fun, informative, never dull, fast paced and it gave me a great perspective of modern art.

I truly enjoyed the tour from the guide, who was competent, fun and full with interesting facts about the museum and the artworks.
