Discussion with The Otolith Group

The Museum of Contemporary Art – Skopje, as part of its Interdisciplinary Programme, continues its programme activities.

On Friday, 11 September, beginning at 12:00, at the Faculty of Fine Arts – Faculty of Pedagogy, a discussion with the world-renowned artistic collective The Otolith Group will be held.

The Otolith Group was founded in London in 2002 by the British-Indian artist, filmmaker and anthropologist Anjalika Sagar and the British-Ghanaian artist, writer, theorist and filmmaker Kodwo Eshun.

Over their two-decade practice, they have explored how to observe and analyse planetary imbalance arising from inadequate political processes and decisions, structural social and economic inequality, and the systematic destruction of the environment.
For The Otolith Group, ecological crises are not isolated phenomena but the result of social, political and economic constellations deeply interwoven with historical conflicts and exploitative patterns that shape the collective present.
