Ukraine’s double nominee at this year’s Oscars for Best Documentary and Best Foreign Language Film, “20 Days in Mariupol” depicts the harsh truth faced by people affected by the war. The documentary follows the courageous journey of Ukrainian journalists trapped in the besieged city. It is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the relentless pursuit of truth.
The film is by Mstyslav Chernov, winner of the 2023 Pulitzer Prize and president of the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers, and produced by “The Associated Press” and “Frontline”.
The screening is supported by the Open Society Foundations – Western Balkan.
The documentary contains graphic images of war, which are not suitable for audiences under the age of 18.
