The Museum of Contemporary Art in its international and national collections has close to six thousand works in all artistic media.
The international collection consists of donated works from almost all parts of the world, making it one of the few museums of its kind in the world. The largest part of the collection consists of modern and contemporary art created after the Second World War.
The national collection allows to follow the development of art in Macedonia, starting from the emergence of the generation of artists between the two wars – the progenitors of the modern art in Macedonia – all the way to contemporary artistic practices.
