The Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje owns the largest specialized library in the country, where books and publications related to modern and contemporary art, monographs on important domestic and foreign artists, books and magazines on art theory, and art criticism are stored.
A significant part of the library fund is also represented by a large number of publications of MSU-Skopje, published by the museum since its foundation in 1964 until today: catalogs of solo and group exhibitions, monographic-retrospective publications, books, lectures, and theoretical literature, including specialized contemporary art magazine "The Large Glass".
The library contains about 4,500 books and catalogs from individual and group exhibitions held in the country and abroad, as well as several Macedonian, Yugoslav, and foreign professional periodicals from the middle of the 20th century to the present day, including Umetnost, Artforum, Frieze, Texte zur Kunst, etc. .
The Museum also owns publications from world-renowned publishers, important museums, galleries, and international collections, as well as important artistic events such as the Venice Biennale, and Documenta in Kassel, with texts from world-renowned authors - professional literature with which generations of historians of art, artists and art lovers.
Like the MSU-Skopje collection itself, the Museum Library is a confirmation of the long-term dedicated work in presenting and preserving the artistic creations of numerous world and domestic authors.

The library is open to professionals and the general public, from Tuesday to Thursday, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., by appointment.
Publications are on disposal only in the museum's library and in working time.
