This workshop will focus on (urban) walking as an artistic practice. Drawing inspiration from art history and theory, as well as insights from anthropology and ethnography, the presentations will take us from the contemplative strolls of the flaneurs to contemporary geolocated experiences. The exercises and mentoring will support participants in exploring walking as an aesthetic practice, immersive multisensorial experience, critical medium and research methodology. Participants will ultimately produce walking pieces in Skopje or composite artworks that involve walking.
The workshop will take place mostly in English, at the MoCA Skopje and in public space. In order to apply, please fill in the form. Maximum number of participants: 10
